DeveloperOne is an AI coding assistant for Visual Studio Code and a web dashboard for teams. It is operated by Debojyoti, an individual based in Bengaluru, India ("we", "us"). This policy explains what information we collect when you use developerone.dev, app.developerone.dev, our API and our editor extension, and what we do with it.
1. Information we collect
- Account details: your name, email address and, if you sign in with Google, your Google account ID and profile name. We only ask Google for your basic profile and email address (the
openid, emailandprofilescopes). - Team details: your organisation name, team size, country, the people you invite and their roles, and the clients and projects you create in the dashboard.
- Code context you send for a task: when you ask the assistant to do something, the editor sends the instructions and the parts of your code needed for that task to our servers, which pass them to an AI model provider (section 4) to produce an answer. We do not store this content after the request is answered.
- Usage records: for each request we keep which model was used, token counts, cost, timing, success or failure, and which developer, client and project it belongs to. To judge whether a task worked, we also keep the paths of files changed in that task and a short result from your project's own test or build command (at most 8,000 characters).
- Technical data: IP address and basic request logs, used for security and fixing problems.
We do not use cookies for advertising or tracking, and our website has no analytics or tracking scripts.
2. How we use it
- To sign you in and keep your account secure.
- To run the service: route each task to a suitable model and return the result.
- To show you and your team usage, spend and remaining quota.
- To send service emails, such as sign-in codes and team invitations.
- To find and fix errors, prevent abuse and improve routing quality.
We never use your code or prompts to train AI models, and we never sell your information or use it for advertising.
3. Google user data
When you choose "Continue with Google", we receive your name, email address and Google account ID. We use them only to create and sign in to your DeveloperOne account. We do not request access to your Gmail, Drive or any other Google data. DeveloperOne's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to theGoogle API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
4. Who we share it with
We share information only with service providers we need to run DeveloperOne:
- AI model providers (for example OpenRouter, DeepSeek, Anthropic, MiniMax and Z.ai) receive the code context and instructions for each task so they can generate an answer. Some of these providers process data outside India, including in the United States and China. Each provider handles data under its own terms.
- Hostinger hosts our servers and database (India).
- Google provides "Sign in with Google".
- Resend sends our emails, such as sign-in codes.
- Razorpay processes payments when you buy credit. Your card, UPI or bank details go to Razorpay, not to us; we receive the payment's status, amount and reference.
We may also disclose information if the law requires it, or to protect the safety and security of our users and service.
5. How long we keep it
We keep account and usage records while your account is active. If you close your account or ask us to delete your data, we delete it within 30 days, except records we must keep by law, such as payment records.
6. Security
Data is sent over HTTPS. Provider API keys you add are encrypted at rest. We do not ask you to create a password: you sign in with Google or a one-time email code. Our databases are not reachable from the internet. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information.
7. Your choices and rights
You can see and update your account details in the dashboard. You can ask us for a copy of your data, to correct it, or to delete it, by emailingdebojyoti.js@gmail.com. We answer within 30 days. These rights apply under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, and similar laws where you live.
8. Children
DeveloperOne is for professional use and is not meant for anyone under 18.
9. Changes
If we change this policy, we will update the date above. For important changes we will also tell account owners by email before they take effect.
